Donation Requests

Donation Request:

We help when and where we can.  However, as a tiny company, we simply do not have the resources to meet every request.  We therefore have implemented a procedure for filling. If you would like to submit a request, please send a letter on your organization's letterhead explaining the scope of your mission, what you are seeking.

If it is an appropriate request to our giving guidelines, we will retain your request on file.  When we complete our annual inventory rotation in the late fall, our review committee will meet to allocate donations.

At that point, you will be notified with further details and to coordinate the donation.  We apologize and hope that you will understand that we cannot respond to every submission.

Firewheel Stenocarpus Sinuatus

This fabulous rain forest plant is native to Australia, and is cultivated successfully around the world. Exotic as it appears, it's easy to grow, thrives outdoors in zones 9-11 and is an excellent container plant indoors. All of our seeds come with germination guidelines.

Corkscrew Vine Vigna Caracalla

The unique flowers of the Snail Vine make it something completely different. It is a fast-growing, twining climber bearing from summer into autumn twelve inch racemes of very striking, quite extraordinary, large, very fragrant, two inch blooms, with an unusual mixed purple-cream-yellowish color, resembling snails. A plant for your greenhouse or zone 8b+ outdoors where it should flower the first year from seed. Very rare and limited because the plant, by nature, does not produce many seed pods.

Ipomoea Stictocardia beraviensis Hawaiian Sunset Vine

Rare collector vine. Also called Hawaiian Sunset Bell Flower, Ipomoea beraviensis
This tropical vine is a fast grower, covering a trellis or fence within a few weeks to 6 months. It is equally happy with full sun to complete shade and blooms sporadically year round. The spectacular intense yellow and orange streaked flowers are scented and 2-3" across. The velvety leaves are heart shaped, 5-6" in diameter in full sun, but as much as 1' in filtered light. This evergreen vine can take a few hours of frost, but may come back from roots in longer periods of cold. It may also be grown in a container.
